Four armed thieves attacks Obafemi Awolowo hall UI



 Earlier this morning, the Obafemi Awolowo hall,a  female hostel in University of Ibadan, was attacked by four thieves who had their way through a hole on the fence. These robbers were reported to had attacked the finalist block ( C-Block) of the hall  armed with cutlasses. According to reports and eye withness, they gained access into the hall and left freely with phones and laptops, a lady was said to have been cut, though, the cut isn't deep and another in shock, as occupants of rooms thirteen and fourteen were affected.

Press men  at the scene asked one  of the affected as she replied," we locked the door from inside but they broke into the room by kicking the door".  Others victims complained about the poor state of the doors to be the cause.
Most of the people questioned didn’t hear the robbers breaking the wall, but became aware of the presence  of the robbers when the victims raised alarm.

The deputy DVC, dean of students and the chief security officer arrived later at  the scene of the incident and expressed dismay over the state of the locks in the rooms, promising to act in effect.
